Many disappointed as Mature Lifestyle show is cancelled

26th October 2015

Many people will be disappointed to learn that the Mature Lifestyle Show has now been cancelled.

Those considering retirement in the near future, and those who are already retired, would have wanted to head to Surrey later this month in order to attend the Mature Lifestyle Show. However, the lively and informative event aimed to help people get the best from later life, which would have provided the opportunity to meet a variety of experts and over 100 exhibitors, such as stairlift manufacturers has been cancelled due to unforeseen circumstances.

The event was expected to provide many special offers during the weekend, a number of which would have been exclusive to the show. There was also supposed to be a whole host of seminars covering topics such as health, finance, travel, gardening and cooking, with opportunities to take part in a number of activities too.

Cancelled event schedule can still give inspiration

While the event would have also appealed to those interested in fitness, with classes such as keep fit, yoga and Pilates organised for visitors to try, there are many opportunities to visit taster exercise classes at local gyms and leisure centres.

Retirement can be the perfect opportunity to try new things, and spend time doing activities that you love, and there are many other ways for those who were hoping to attend the event to find inspiration for making the most of life after work.

You could get involved with campaigns such as The Big Knit, attend events such as Age UK’s Christmas celebrity carol concert, or join an older people’s group to meet new friends and pursue a hobby or interest.
