For people with narrow staircases, the 1100 straight stairlift has the narrowest track on the market, it is slim and compact and can be placed close to the wall to free-up more space on the stairs. The model is also fitted with a continuous charge and safety sensors as standard.

Those with restricted mobility could also opt for a Perch seat stairlift, allowing you to lean safely against the stairlift instead of sitting and rising from a seated position. Perch seats are available on the 1000 straight stairlift.

Stairlift Servicing Scotland 

Once your new or reconditioned stairlift is installed, you’re likely to use it regularly, sometimes on a daily basis. General wear is normal, so the servicing team are on hand to undertake a stairlift service should it be required.

Handicare knows how important your stairlift may be to your independence, which is why they suggest you book regular maintenance and servicing. Handicare’s experts suggest that you arrange a service for your brand new stairlift every 12 months and every 6 months for older or reconditioned models.

We also offer a two-year warranty for each stairlift, including reconditioned models, providing peace of mind from the start. Additionally, you can purchase an extended warranty for your straight or curved stairlift, which can cover various issues, from accidental damage to electrical breakdowns.
