British Healthcare and Independent Living Design Awards launched
17th June 2013
The British Healthcare Trades Association's British Healthcare Awards were launched earlier this month and are set to highlight the greatest innovations and reputable names in the healthcare industry.
Alongside the British Healthcare Awards will be the Independent Living Design Awards. These awards will celebrate the best of the mobility aid industry, from companies offering reconditioned stairlifts to developments in bathing solutions.
Both sets of awards are highlights of the year in the healthcare industry and those looking for independent living solutions are sure to be taking note of category winners as they research the best companies offering healthcare products and services.
Companies can submit applications for a number of categories until 11 September 2013 before a shortlist is announced in November. An awards dinner will be held by the British Healthcare Trades Association on 5 December 2013 and companies across the UK will be hoping to achieve success in one of the many categories.
The categories have been updated for 2013, and companies can compete in the following categories for the British Healthcare Awards: Best New Business, Best Product/Service Innovation, Best Established Product/Service, Best Marketing Campaign and Best Creative Solution.
Each category will have one winner and a number of highly commended companies depending on the decisions made by the judging panel, consisting of consumers, professionals and representatives from the industry.
A BHTA Lifetime Achievement Award will also be given out which will be awarded to someone who has made an outstanding contribution to the industry.
The Independent Living Design Awards have been running for 18 years and are recognised by professionals as the flagship awards that highlight the most innovative product developments in the mobility and homecare industries. These awards celebrate products that make a huge difference when it comes to living a fulfilling life independently, whether the product is designed for use at home, such as a recliner chair, or can be used for outdoor leisure, such as the ice hockey sledge designed by RGK Wheelchairs Ltd. which was highly commended last year.
Winners of these various awards will be presented with a prize logo which they can use as part of their marketing campaigns, demonstrating to those with mobility difficulties that they can provide an award-winning reputable service or product that can make living at home a comfortable reality for them.
Now that the nominations are open, the best product and service innovations for 2013 from companies across the UK will soon be unveiled.
